Creek bass aren't picky, but they are easily spooked. In skinny water, a heavy tackle box is a burden. Instead, pack a small box with a few versatile options: a topwater frog, a finesse Ned rig, and a small moving bait.

Creek Presentation Rules

• Make quiet casts. A heavy splash in a 3-foot deep creek pool will scare every bass.
• Target the shade. Creek bass love logs, undercut banks, and overhangs.
• Cast upstream and retrieve with the current. Bass naturally face into the flow.
